Creative Hobby Ideas

Finding things we enjoy in life is important. Life would be extremely boring if we never had the opportunity to do fun activities that we enjoy. Many of us really enjoy anything creative. There are so hundreds of different 'creative' activities we can do in this world, which means it can be quite overwhelming when trying to decide a new hobby to try out. Sometimes we even forget that certain activities exist, especially if they are not spoken about regularly. Because of these things, I have decided to put together a short list of hobbies which I highly recommend you try out for yourself!

Diamond Painting

Diamond painting is a relaxing craft which is suitable for both young and old crafters. It is very similar to another craft called "colour-by-numbers", as you have to place tiny gemstones of a specific colours to create pixelated patterns. You will be amazed by the beauty of a finished sparking diamond painting.

Cross Stitch

Another craft very similar to "colour-by-numbers". Cross stitch is a form of sewing in which you create X shaped stitches in a tiled pattern to create an image.

Photography

Use a combination of different angles, lightning, colour and positions to capture images of anything you can think of. People, houses, landscape, flowers, animals or even food!

Scratchboard Art

Using a number of tools to engrave an image onto thick black-surfaced cardboard which has an undercoat of coloured clay, by scratching away portions of the black surface to create lines with the colour underneath.

Nail Art

After trimming and shaping, create beautiful artworks by creatively painting and decorating with things like glitter and stickers on human or acrylic nails.

Candle Making

Become a chandler and use flammable solid substances and fragrances in a silicone mould or jar to create beautiful hand made candles.

If you decide to try out any of these crafts for yourself, I'd love to know! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
